| Marc Webb Set to Direct ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Posted: 20 Jan 2010 08:20 AM PST  (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb will direct the forthcoming Spider-Man prequel! The film, which will feature Spidey as a high-schooler coming into his powers, will begin filming later this year after casting, Variety reports. Marc is only signed on for one film for now, but the deal being negotiated includes options for future films if the movie does well. Insisting that he doesn’t plan to take over what Spidey franchise director Sam Raimi started, Marc said, “I’m here because there’s an opportunity for ideas, stories and histories that will add a new dimension, canvas and creative voice to Spider-Man.” |
