Both singer are featured in the mag’s Women in Music issue, which also includes cover girl Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Feist, Hillary Scott, Robyn, Florence Welch, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Nicks. “It’s going to be a party beat. I think you’re gonna like it!” Willow told the magazine about her full length album. Jennifer shared how she used to perform in gay clubs when she was younger. “In high school I was like, ‘Well, these are drag queens lip-synching, and I can really sing; why can’t I go up there?’ I would win all the talent shows,” she revealed. The 38-year-old British actor dropped by local pub The Village Idiot to watch a soccer game before heading to Book Soup with his two sons, Rafferty and Rudy. Late last month, Jude participated in a protest to support human rights in Belarus. “I feel affected because freedom of speech to me is not just about artistic expression but about fundamental freedom of living and of life," he told the BBC. "And as fellow Europeans, the fact that there is a dictatorship just two hours away from here, which is stopping people living freely, I think it's a terrible thing,” he added, “and it's our right as individuals and as artists to express that." |

| Angelina Jolie Urges Support for Libya's Displaced Posted: 05 Apr 2011 10:50 AM PDT  Angelina Jolie meets Somali refugees at Shousha Camp on Tuesday (April 5) in Ras Djir, Tunisia. The 35-year-old actress and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador traveled a few kilometers from the Tunis-Libyan border to meet with some of the 440,000 people who have crossed the border to Tunisia to escape violence in Libya. “The international community has done well to reinforce Tunisia’s remarkable relief effort. But with 2,000 people still crossing each day, we cannot let the funding dry up and need to sustain the momentum,” Angelina said, adding, “We would encourage others, individuals and governments, to continue to support and assist with the needs on the ground.” “They’re waiting here with little hope, unable to return home and unsure of what’s to come. This constant cycle of displacement must finally come to an end,” Angelina concluded. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation made a contribution to the efforts, covering the costs for 177 people to fly home to their countries of origin and to pay for an ambulance to help injured refugees arriving from Libya. |
