HSM stars go to Australia

Right when you think the High School Musical stars were done with promoting their new movie Senior Year, they were spotted heading to the LAX International Airport today.

Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale, were all spotted about to catch a flight to Australia, for the premiere and the promotional tour, for High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

HSM 3 stays at the Top

High School Musical 3: Senior Year overcame a weak Halloween night to gross $15 million for the weekend, and remain atop the box-office standings, per studio estimates compiled today by Exhibitor Relations.

Elsewhere, Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno enjoyed the optimal Kevin Smithian debut ($10.7 million), while the Clint Eastwood-directed Angelina Jolie mystery, Changeling, enjoyed the best theater-for-theater performance of any film in wide release ($9.4 million).

High School Musical 3 Number One The World Over.....

Zefron and crew's singing and dancing brought in HUGE dollars for the Mouse at the weekend.
High School Musical 3, the big screen version of the popular made-for-Disney Channel movie, made $82 million Friday-Sunday worldwide. In the U.S. alone, it raked in $42 million.
That's the biggest musical debut ever both internationally and domestically, and the first global #1 opening since The Dark Knight.

Disney knows how to make the big bucks.
