Getting in the holiday mood was Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spotted with a pumpkin on a good time while he was out near their home in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon, twenty-eighth of October.

Ever outdoorsman, Spencer carved a face into his pumpkin with an army knife and put it over his head, while Heidi was half hearted attempt to hide the chest with two smaller pumpkins.

During the day the picture up, took the former "Hills" lovers frolicking along the sandy beach, a rocky perch for a little PDA before heading back to the homefront.

The trip comes just after Heidi's mother, Darlene Egelhoff, recently spoke to press about having to be a girl because of the economic downturn.

Confirms it seemed all too clear that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt officially called off their divorce in reconciling their relationship. With missing Montag has offered his separation papers back in July, the couple told People magazine page, "We are back together trying to make things work."

“I didn’t even know you have to legalize a wedding,” Spencer claims to In Touch. “I thought growing up, you say ‘I do’ and you’re married.”

Heidi agrees.

“We had our elopement, and to me, that counts,” she said. “But we’re going to have a bigger wedding for friends and family.”

Vows Spencer, “We’ll definitely have it on TV because of the fans and haters.”

The happy couple, who eloped south of the border last week, was seen enjoying their first week of wedded bliss at their private villa in the exclusive One and Only Palmilia resort in Los Cabos. While there, Speidi was also seen filming scenes for an upcoming episode of The Hills.

Earlier today,Spencer called Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Thursday to respond to comments made by Heidi Montag’s mom.

Spencer fired back, saying, “I can’t wait to prove her wrong and be married for the rest of our lives. I’m sure she’s just hurt and reacting crazy because she wasn’t there.”

When asked if he’ll be spending the holidays with Heidi’s mom, Spencer said, “The Pratts - as in Heidi Pratt and Spencer Pratt - will probably have their own Christmas tree.”

Her mom’s fury is unleashed in the latest issue of Us Weekly. Darlene fumes, “I don’t trust Spencer. He wants to possess her more than marry her. I’m very frightened for her.”

The 46-year-old mom adds, “He’s manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi. I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged. Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life. I’ve been honest with Heidi, and it’s caused our relationship to decline. I’m more devastated about that than the marriage, because I’m confident the marriage won’t work out.”

As for how long Darlene thinks their marriage will last, she said, “Six months. I think it’s the biggest mistake Heidi’s ever made.”

Heidi Montag doesn't usually play her cards close to the vest, but The Hills star didn't even inform her dad about marrying boyfriend Spencer Pratt.

"I would be upset if she got married and didn't invite me!" Bill Montag told PEOPLE Monday after reports surfaced that his daughter had eloped with Pratt in Mexico last week.

As for what to do now that the story appears true, "Then we just have to have another wedding here!” he said. On Monday, Montag told Perez Hilton that she and Pratt wed at the One & Only Palmilla Resort, just outside Cabo San Lucas.

"The minute we said our vows, I couldn't stop crying," she said.Montag, 22, and Pratt, 25, have chronicled their off-again, on-again (for good this time!) romance on The Hills – including a season cliffhanger about whether or not they were really engaged.
