| Christian Bale Premieres Terminator Salvation Posted: 14 May 2009 08:23 PM PDT  Christian Bale gets the support of his wife Sibi Blazic at the premiere of his new flick, Terminator Salvation at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 14) in Hollywood. ComingSoon.net recently asked the 35-year-old British actor: “You’ve been an actor a lot longer than you’ve been a star. With the TMZ culture, are you concerned about it distracting people from your character onscreen? Does it distract from your performance?” Bale’s response: “Not for me it doesn’t because I don’t know what things are being said of gossipy stuff. My life is much happier when I ignore that. As for other people, that’s their choice. If they want to embrace that then they’re probably going to sacrifice enjoyment in the movies. Daisy carried around a miniature-sized version of a hockey stick. Maybe she’ll be hitting the ice soon! Meg recently was on this year’s judging panel at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Here’s a snippet of the interview: Have you spoken to Chad recently? I was in L.A. last week and we talked. Chad and I are good friends. I won’t speak for him, but it was not a rash decision on either of our parts. He’s very compassionate toward the show and the fans. It’s not an easy decision, but we’ve got to be grown-ups sometimes. [CMM's rep declined an interview request, saying, "Chad is no longer on the show and has no comment regarding the new season."] What was your last day on the set like? We wrapped together. We were the last two in the last scene, and we opened up a tab across the street for our crew to say thank you and cried a bunch. What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama and Secretary Clinton believe — marriage is between a man and a woman. | Elisabeth Hasselbeck Promotes Alzheimer’s Association Posted: 14 May 2009 02:50 PM PDT  The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck serves as the honorary host for the Alzheimer’s Association Junior Committee, who hosted their annual Collective Consciousness Gala at Tenjune nightclub in New York City on Thursday (May 7). The benefit raised money for research of the second-leading killing disease in the country. At the event, I spoke with Elisabeth, who shared, “My grandfather – my dad’s dad – just recently passed away. He had a long battle with Alzheimer’s. And I think anyone that knows someone, as many of us do or know or have gone through the process, you know it truly does affect more than just the person. It’s a family disease, it is your friend’s disease. It’s so inspiring to see the young faces out here tonight to get motivated to do something and prevent and cure. I think it’s a good thing that they’re all out here. You know sometimes there is a misnomer that we don’t do anything until it’s too late, but looking out at all the young faces tonight who are willing to participate and engage for a fight is more than motivating.” |

She was making a lot of money and attracting a lot of attention from the paparazzi. It put in stark relief that I don't want that kind of life. Isn't Star Trek bringing it anyway? Maybe.
