| Sophia Bush Premieres The Narrows Posted: 19 Jun 2009 08:23 PM PDT  Sophia Bush attends premiere of her new movie, The Narrows, at Bottino Italian restaurant located in Chelsea’s gallery district on Friday night (June 19) in New York City. The Narrows is about a photography student from Brooklyn (Kevin Zegers, pictured below) who takes a job making deliveries for the local mob boss to help pay for classes at NYU. Sophia, 26, plays the character of Kathy Popovich, a beautiful, intellectual young woman he meets at NYU. The Narrows is currently in limited release. |

The 34-year-old mother of eight recently said on a new TV clip, “We’ve been dealing with this for a long time.” Her husband Jon continued, “It just got worse and worse and worse.” Kate ended with, “We can’t go back now, we can only go forward. And that’s what we’re going to do. | Joe Jonas: Miley Cyrus & Nick Jonas Reconnect Posted: 19 Jun 2009 03:46 PM PDT  Wily television host Larry King managed to get some interesting information during his interview on Thursday (June 18) with the Jonas Brothers - Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas have “reconnected.” Larry asked Joe Jonas if his girlfriend was as famous as Nick’s girlfriend, and he said, “No, I don’t think anyone’s as famous as Miley Cyrus!” Oops! | Jonathan Waud Interview — JustJared.com Exclusive Posted: 19 Jun 2009 01:44 PM PDT  Jonathan Waud was the second runner-up on the latest season of Bravo’s reality competition, Make Me A Supermodel, but many thought he should have been crowned the winner after being voted the show’s Fan Favorite on BravoTV.com. JustJared.com sat down with the 26-year-old British model, who opened up about social networking, his admiration for Halle Berry’s boyfriend and his life beyond modeling. Check it: How did you and your wife first meet? How did you propose? I was with a friend of mine at the Grove in L.A. and saw this beautiful girl walk into Coffee Bean. Sounds very stalkerish, I know, but I followed her in– even though I don’t drink coffee, or didn’t then- and somehow started talking to her. It was the first time I drank coffee and the first time I fell truly in love. I proposed six months later to the day of our first date, filled our apartment with roses and proposed over a candlelit dinner. Funny, the ring cost $300, which was a lot for me then and didn’t even come with a box. I looked everywhere for ring boxes but they all seemed really plain so I found a beautiful mother of pearl jewelry box and placed the ring inside it. She still has that box and takes it with us when we travel. As a model, looks are so important. What would you do if your son was struggling with body images issues? I think as a parent it is most important to instill a sense of self in your child. My son Jude is such a brilliant and happy baby. It's really difficult to realize that as he gets older and goes to school he might have body issues. When I was in school I had braces and my skin was far from perfect and I was self conscious. As you get older and more comfortable in your own skin you learn to appreciate all the little things that make you who you are. The modeling industry has the potential to be damaging because it all comes down to someone else’s opinion of you. You have to be confident in yourself, otherwise every time you don’t get picked for a job, you will question yourself. I think Jude will be a confident person no matter what he looks like because he is so loved and will be raised to explore all his potential. Are there other male models in the industry that you look up to? I am — Gabriel Aubry (Halle Berry’s boyfriend) is one of my favorite male models, he’s had such a great career and is still going strong so I would say he’s the one I most look up to. Have you had any weird fan encounters yet? No weird ones, just a lot of really cool, fun people wanting photos, etc. I’ve been pretty active on Facebook and Twitter and have had a lot of fan interaction there. People have been so incredibly supportive and I really appreciate it. Do you have any exciting campaigns or work coming up? I’ve done a bunch of underwear jobs for Undergear and 2xist. I hope the show will be a great launching pad for the future, I will definitely pursue modeling as it's such a passion and I hope it won’t be too long before I’m in front of a television camera again. | Angelina Jolie: Refugees Give Me New Appreciation For Life Posted: 19 Jun 2009 01:14 PM PDT  Angelina Jolie appreciates life a whole lot more now thanks to the world's refugees. Here’s what the 34-year-old actress told Today Show’s Ann Curry: On her childhood being much different if she'd grown up knowing what she has learned as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador: "I think it would have got me through my youth easier. I would have been less self-destructive… You see people that have suffered things that you will never, ever know. And you know how lucky you are." On making sure her children grow up knowing refugee children: “I want them to see it as an area where they can go down the street and play football with those kids and get to know them, and as they grow up seem them as those friends they spent time with. Hopefully I can raise them with a more accurate view of the world than I was raised with, maybe they’ll naturally be better people. And I’m sure my children will be visiting and learning from refugees in the future.” On agreeing with Brad Pitt that this is one of the happiest times of her life: “I am extememly happy in my life. My children are healthy and it’s one of the most extraordinary times in my life and I’m able to do good things and good work.” On being the “next Audrey Hepburn”: “I’m lucky to be in this. And I’m sure Audrey Hepburn felt the same. That she was the fortunate one to be able to meet all those kids around the world. You know, we’re just in a very fortunate situation that we get to be able to give a voice to these extraordinary people.” On having birthday celebrations year-round: “I do have the twins, and I just had Shi in May. We have so many kids that we just have year-round birthdays. It’s a lot of fun now ’cause the older kids are old enough to help plan the birthdays for the younger kids. President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha welcomed him into the White House on April 14th. Here’s a few little known facts about the pet pooch: – Bo’s name came from two different places: Mrs. Obama’s father’s nickname was “Diddley” and Malia and Sasha’s cousins have a cat named Bo — and another cat named Diddley. – Bo was a gift to the Obama family from Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife, Vicki. – Even though Bo is a Portuguese water dog, he doesn’t know how to swim! |
