The 21-year-old High School Musical actress next takes the big screen on July 30 in Beastly, a modern day retelling of Beauty and The Beast. | Brad & Angelina Donate $1 Million to Haiti Quake Relief Efforts Posted: 13 Jan 2010 05:55 PM PST  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s foundation is contributing $1 million to emergency medical operations responding to the devastation caused by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday (January 12). "It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades,” says Angelina. Brad adds, "We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care.” The Jolie-Pitt Foundation is donating the money to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres (MSF). | Dexter’s Michael C. Hall Undergoes Cancer Treatment Posted: 13 Jan 2010 03:20 PM PST  Dexter star Michael C. Hall is on the road to recovery after being diagnosed with cancer. In a statement released today, Michael said he felt fortunate to have been diagnosed with a treatable and curable condition. The 38-year-old actor was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, or cancer of the lymphatic system. "I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," the statement read. A spokesman for Michael said that his treatment will continue as planned and that his cancer is in remission. Get well soon, Michael! |
