Posted: 22 May 2009 06:12 PM PDT  Vanessa Hudgens, Gaelan Connell and Aly Michalka are ready to rock out on the official poster of their upcoming flick, Bandslam. In the flick, a high school outcast (Connell) bonds with a popular girl (Michalka) over their shared love of music and results in them assembling a rock group that looks to win their school's upcoming battle of the bands competition. Posted: 22 May 2009 01:17 PM PDT  It's been 16 years since Zack Morris ruled Bayside High, but Mark-Paul Gosselaar, 35, is still recognized most for his Saved by the Bell alter ego. "That image will stay with me for my entire career," Mark tells Life & Style. "But I'm not looking to shed the persona of Zack. I'm proud of the work I did." Mark, a husband and a dad of two, now stars as a public defender on TNT's Raising the Bar and calls the role "different from anything that I've played or ever done in television." But don't rule out a SBTB reunion. "Jimmy Fallon is trying to [reunite the cast]," Mark says. "We're still discussing it." |
| Christina Applegate: Save ‘Samantha Who?’! Posted: 22 May 2009 12:42 PM PDT  Christina Applegate's has joined Twitter-verse and has started up a petition to save her ABC series, Samantha, Who?. Earlier this week, it was announced that ABC canceled Christina's comedy due to economic reasons. The network was reportedly looking to cut $500,000 per episode. According to THR, to do that, the series’ producers were looking to add a third camera to its shoots, keeping the single-camera look but trimming its production schedule. Check it: On co-starring alongside Justin in a movie: “If it was the right thing, yeah. I would love to co-star with Justin. I just don’t know what the right thing is, though. ” On her singing aspirations: "I know nobody really knows this about me, but I really started in musical theater doing Annie and The Sound of Music. I wanted to be Whitney Houston. That was my dream.” On her plans these next few months: “I auditioned for a summer production of Guys and Dolls at the Hollywood Bowl.
