The 22-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is making a cameo on the hit ABC show Ugly Betty next week (October 30 @ 8PM ET/PT). Here’s a synopsis of the ep: Betty (America Ferrera)is overwhelmed with her editorial work, so Wilhemina assigns Marc (Michael Urie) to be Betty’s temporary assistant. Betty’s story idea to cover the worst jobs in New York goes south when she has to dress up as a hot dog and do a Bollywood dance number. Meanwhile, Marc frets that he’ll never be taken seriously by his idol at Vogue magazine, Hilda gets Archie’s campaign in trouble, Daniel (Eric Mabius) hires a gorgeous but inept assistant (Decker), and Natalie introduces Daniel to the Community — a group whose charismatic leader (Dylan Baker) zeroes in on Daniel. | Ashlee Simpson Moves Out Of ‘Melrose Place’ Posted: 22 Oct 2009 03:20 PM PDT  Ashlee Simpson and co-star Colin Egglesfield’s story lines on Melrose Place will wrap up in an episode airing on January 2010. EW’s Michael Ausiello has an interview with exec producer Todd Slavkin explaining the reasons why. On the decision to let Ashlee and Colin go: Well, we always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And we always knew that [Ashlee's] character of Violet would be instrumental in that as a suspect, and [Colin's character of] Augie as well. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. That was the original plan going into the development of the show. On how Ashlee and Colin took the news: They're total professionals and they took it like professionals. When you go into a show you never know what's going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn't a complete shock. New characters to be (re)introduced include Heather Locklear and Brooke Burns. |

As for what Carrie likes in a romantic date, she told The Boot, “I love sporting events and popcorn and pizza and being outside, like at a baseball or football game. That same day, Ashley took part in Glamour’s discussion of the future of fashion at NYC’s 92nd Street Y. Ash was joined by designer Isaac Mizrahi and Washington Post writer Robin Givham. The event was moderated by Glamour’s editor-in-chief, Cindi Leive. Citing comfort as a priority in her dressing, 23-year-old Ashley also said she thought the success of her clothing line with Mary-Kate was due to their innovation in the market. “We were able to bring something to the consumers that didn’t exist before, which was really quality affordable clothes for young girls,” she said.
