| 'The Dark Knight Rises' Poster - First Look! Posted: 11 Jul 2011 09:20 PM PDT  Check out the teaser poster for the upcoming film, The Dark Knight Rises! The one-sheet doesn’t feature any of the cast members, but rather shows what appears to be city skyscrapers crumbling while forming the iconic Batman figure. The Christopher Nolan-directed action flick features the return of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Batman, as well as Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. Anne Hathaway joins the movie as Catwoman, while Joseph Gordon Levitt takes on the role of John Blake and Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane. The 31-year-old actress and singer wrote and performed the song “So Long,” which is featured in the film! Zooey also performs “Winnie The Pooh” on the film’s soundtrack. Zooey recently penned an open letter to L.A. Times writer Patt Morrison, who called her a “snobby cow” for some comments she made at Saturday’s BAFTA bash. “Let me be clear: the quote from USA Today that you used as the foundation of your piece was taken completely out of context. I NEVER said that Downtown LA was ‘the worst of LA.’ I did make a reference to a parking lot adjacent to the theater that had a lot of trash in it in an attempt to be humorous. I simply said, ‘It's funny they brought royalty here, there is a parking lot with trash around the corner.’ It wasn't an opinion. Here’s what the 50-year-old British actress had to share with the mag: On her latest film, We Need to Talk About Kevin, in which she plays the mother of a violent, disturbed boy: “When we were trying to finance this movie, we would reference Rosemary's Baby. It's every pregnant woman's nightmare to give birth to the devil. And every mother worries that she won't connect to her children. When I had my children [13-year-old twins Xavier and Honor], my manager asked me what project I wanted to work on next. I said, "Something Greek, perhaps Medea." Nobody quite understood what I meant, what I was feeling.” On getting offered more bad guy roles since winning an Oscar for Michael Clayton: “Not really, although villains are a diffusion line in my repertoire [Laughs]. The only movie of mine that my children have seen is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, where I played the evil White Witch. My daughter said it was too loud. They're just not Disney kids: They live in Scotland and don't have a television. When I brought my Oscar home and showed the children, nobody knew what it was. Here’s what the 21-year-old English actor, who’s currently starring in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, had to share with the mag: On being spotted by fans in New York City: “It's very rare that I get stopped or get asked for an autograph or anything - none of which I mind - but people don't really care that much. I just sort of walk by, and they say, ‘Oh, hi,’ and then walk on. It's pretty cool, to be honest. You should be proud of that, as a city, that you're very chilled out with celebrities. I do miss London, but if I have to spend a year somewhere else, New York is not a bad place to have to spend it.” On performing at the Tony Awards: “There's that moment when you're all standing behind this huge LED screen, and suddenly you're revealed like prizes on a game show, and Al Pacino is ten feet from you, and Mark Rylance and Bobby Cannavale and Sutton Foster and all these huge people.…it's f—ing terrifying. [Laughs] But it was a huge thrill to perform there.” On Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2: “I said to someone the other day, ‘It's like the emotional range of Shakespeare with the action and blood of Tarantino.’ The body count in this film is massive.” On the end of Harry Potter: “It's very rare in your career that you get to play an action hero. I'm not the natural frame and stature of an action hero, so I may not get to play one again. The 44-year-old actress was joined by a bodyguard - Halle has been dealing with a scary situation involving an intruder on her property over the past few days. “Halle was in her kitchen [on Sunday] when she looked out the window and saw a man staring at her…holding some sort of book,” law enforcement sources told TMZ. Halle’s home has a privacy wall, but the man jumped the wall and lurked in her front yard on Saturday. Law enforcement currently believes that the intruder could be an obsessed fan. James hold onto some adorable dogs up for adoption at the 13th Annual Broadway Barks held in Shubert Alley on Saturday (July 9) in New York City. Broadway Barks was started by veteran actresses Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore to promote the adoption of shelter animals. Also in attendance at the annual event: Spider-Man: Turn of the Dark’s Reeve Carney and Jennifer Damiano, as well as Catch Me If You Can star Aaron Tveit.
